Apple iOS 19 Features Leaked; Could Come With ChatGPT-Like Siri: Details
As Apple started gearing up for its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) next year, early details about the upcoming iOS 19 have started to emerge. The latest leaks suggest that the new iOS version could bring significant improvements, including a ChatGPT-like Siri and enhanced privacy features. Check out all details here.
Apple iOS 19 expected release date
Bloomberg's Mark Gurman noted in the most recent Power On newsletter that Apple is rumored to have delayed a "larger-than-usual" number of iOS 19 features until Spring 2026. The update is anticipated to be unveiled in the summer of 2025 at Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), and it will be released in the fall along with the new iPhone models. But according to reports, many of the rumored features won't be available until iOS 19.4.

The schedule for Apple's upcoming major software update is set around the same time as iOS 18 release. Despite being released in September, Apple Intelligence, the company's suite of artificial intelligence (AI) features that it showcased at WWDC 2024, was not initially included in the update. Not all of the AI features have reached the release stage yet, but Apple did release the first batch in October with the iOS 18.1 update. The iOS 18.2 beta updates are still the only way to access features like Image Playground, Genmoji, and ChatGPT integration in Siri.
A more intelligent Siri driven by Apple Intelligence is another important feature of iOS 18. According to reports, it will be available with the iOS 18.3 update next year. But by introducing a significant redesign for its voice assistant that makes it more conversational, iOS 19 might go one step further.

According to reports, Apple intends to use more sophisticated proprietary large language models (LLMs) that will enable it to generate text, hold back-and-forth conversations, and process "more sophisticated requests in a quicker fashion." According to rumors, this feature is just one of many that could be included in the 2026 iOS 19.4 update.
