Apple is reportedly working on a new budget-friendly iPhone, the iPhone SE 4. According to recent leaks, the device could be launched as early as the first half of 2025. The iPhone SE 4 is rumored to feature a larger display compared to its predecessor, potentially measuring around 6.1 inches. Check out all details here.
Apple to launch new iPhone SE, iPad Air in early 2025
According to internal sources cited by Mark Gurman in a recent Bloomberg story, Apple is getting close to starting production on the model no. V59, or updated iPhone SE. In addition, the company plans to produce new iPad Air models and keyboards for release at the same time.
With the newest iPhone SE 4, Apple is reportedly ditching the old home button design and switching to an edge-to-edge screen. According to reports, the phone supports Face ID and Apple Intelligence, a collection of AI tools that will soon be included in the high-end iPhone 15 and 16 models.
The iPhone SE 4 is rumored to retain numerous design elements of the iPhone 14, including the top notch cutout, from the 2022 model. The iPhone SE that is presently on sale at the Apple Store is very similar to the iPhone 8, featuring a single rear camera, thick bezels, and touch ID.
With the release of the new iPhone SE, Apple should be able to compete in the low-end smartphone market and possibly regain market share that it lost to rival companies like Xiaomi and Huawei.
According to Gurman, Apple is expected to reveal new iPad Air models with 11-inch and 13-inch screens early next year, codenamed J607 and J637, in addition to the iPhone SE 4. It is also anticipated that in 2025, the Magic Keyboard accessory will be officially released along with a redesigned Mac mini, updated MacBook Pros, and iMacs featuring an M4 chip and Apple Intelligence features.
iPhone SE 4 Expected Features and Price

When the iPhone SE (2022) was first released, the base 64GB model cost $429, or approximately Rs. 35,000.
