Motorola will unveil the new Edge 50Ultra smartphone in International markets this week. The company has teased the design alongside the colour and a few key details. Motorola has yet again taken the internet by storm with its paint job for the upcoming Edge 50 Ultra. The handset, slated to debut on April 16, 2024, in the international market, is teased to come in a new colour shade called Peach Fuzz. The company itself has confirmed the design as well as a few critical specifications on X (formerly known as Twitter) ahead of the official launch. The handset could compete with Google's high-end Pixel 8 Pro.
Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter), the Chinese smartphone OEM has announced that a new Motorola Edge 50 series member will debut in International markets on April 16. The company has also teased the design with a Peach Fuzz colour shade at the back, a hole-punch display on the front, and curved sides. The handset appears to have a triple rear camera unit, led by a 50-megapixel primary sensor with support for OIS (optical image stabilisation). Additionally, there will be an LED on the back panel. The device also seems to sport a vegan leather back.
However, the company has kept the moniker under wraps for some reason, but it is quite evident that the handset in talks is the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra. The company also confirmed that the upcoming Edge 50 series smartphone will come with 125W TurboPower fast charging.
Motorola previously confirmed that Edge 50 Ultra would ship with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. Furthermore, a recent Geekbench listing suggested it will run on Android 14 and offer up to 12GB RAM. The phone has secured 1,947 points in single-core testing and 5,149 in multi-core testing on Geekbench.
Apart from these, the handset is leaked to get a 6.7-inch OLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate. There are no further details available on the phone.
Meanwhile, the Motorola Edge 50 series will comprise three members — Motorola Edge 50 Pro, Motorola Edge 50 Fusion and Motorola Edge 50 Ultra. The Motorola Edge 50 Pro is already available in India.
