Motorola has unveiled the Edge 50 Pro smartphone in India. The smartphone has debuted in the mid-range segment, boasting AI-tuned cameras, a larger display, and some Gen AI features baked in. It is powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 which is likely to offer decent performance. Check out the price and key specifications here.
Motorola has expanded its Edge series of smartphones with the latest Edge 50 Pro. The handset debuted in the mid-range segment will directly compete with the players from OnePlus, Nothing and more. While the phone is powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC, the centre stage has been taken by the AI-tuned cameras, a larger display and some Gen AI features. Earlier this year, Samsung introduced the Gen AI features like live translation, AI photo editing capabilities, and “circle to search.” Here are all the details to know about the Motorola Edge 50 Pro.
Coming to the features, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset which is likely to offer similar performance as Snapdragon 888. The latter has powered most of the flagships in 2021 and hence, it won't be a disappointment keeping the Motorola Edge 50 Pro's competitive price in view. Apart from this, the handset will come with 125W wired fast charging support, and 50W wireless charging support. It will sport a 6.7-inch pOLED 3D curved display offering 2000 nits peak brightness and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
In terms of photography, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro packs a 50MP AI-powered pro-grade camera, a 13MP macro + ultra-wide camera, and a telephoto lens with OIS and 30x hybrid zoom. For selfies, the smartphone houses a 50MP front camera. On the software front, the device will run on Android 14-based Hello UI out of the box. The company has also promised three years of OS upgrades for the Edge 50 Pro.

The Motorola Edge 50 Pro sports a slim form factor with a curved display. featuring a punch-hole cutout to house the selfie camera. The smartphone comes in three colour options, which are reportedly called Lavender Purple, Pearl White, and Black Eclipse.
