OnePlus Ace 5 Series Could Launch Later This Year With Qualcomm's Flagship Chip: Report
OnePlus is reportedly planning to introduce its Ace 5 series smartphones later this year. The series will include OnePlus Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro 5G exclusively in China with the Qualcomm's upcoming flagship chipset. A few other key details too have leaked online revealing display and camera. Check out all details here.
OnePlus Ace 5, Ace 5 Pro Expected Launch Timeline
The OnePlus Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro's chipsets and likely launch date were revealed by tipster Digital Chat Station (translated from Chinese) in a post on the Chinese social media site Weibo. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, which presently powers the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and other flagship smartphones, might power the OnePlus Ace 5.
The forthcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, which is anticipated to debut at the upcoming Snapdragon Summit, which is scheduled to take place in Hawaii from October 21 to October 23, is reportedly powering the OnePlus Ace 5 Pro. Nevertheless, Xiaomi is said to have obtained "exclusive first launch rights" for other smartphones, so it won't be the first smartphone to have it as the purported Xiaomi 15 Pro is reported to have secured “exclusive first launch rights.”
It is anticipated that both smartphones will go on sale in December or the fourth quarter of 2024. Additionally, "super large" silicon batteries and a redesign are anticipated for the OnePlus Ace 5 series.
OnePlus Ace 5 Series Expected Specifications
Previous reports suggest that the 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPO display on the OnePlus Ace 5 may be included. It might have three cameras on the back, the most important of which is a 50-megapixel primary camera. A 6,200mAh dual-cell battery that supports 100W wired fast charging could power the phone. The report speculates that the alleged smartphone will have an alert slider, which has recently come to be associated with OnePlus devices, even though specifics regarding its design are still unknown.
