China’s Oppo is all set to launch its new Reno 12 5G and Reno 15 Pro 5G smartphones on July 12. The phone is confirmed to feature advanced AI capabilities and a sleek design. Its specifications include a 6.7-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display, a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy SoC, and a fast-charging 5000mAh battery with 80W SUPERVOOC.

The Oppo Reno 12 5G will be offered in three colour options: Astro Silver, Matte Brown, and Sunset Peach, while the Reno 12 Pro 5G will be available in Space Brown and Sunset Gold.

Oppo Reno 12 5G Series Features

The brand plans to launch Oppo Reno 12 5G and Oppo Reno 12 Pro 5G on July 12. The smartphone will feature a 6.67-inch FHD + 120Hz AMOLED display capable of displaying 1.07 billion colors with 10-bit panels. This screen is also designed to perform well in bright outdoor settings, with HDR peak brightness of up to 1200 nits.

It has AI capabilities and a sleek design. The phone is designed with triple rear camera units arranged vertically in a slightly raised rectangular module in the top left corner. Its back is made of Asahi Dragontrail and Panda Glass. It is shaped into a smudge-resistant top half with OPPO's Glow technology and a glossy lower half with a smooth ribbon containing the OPPO logo. The handsets also have glossy finishes. Sunset Peach, Matte Brown, and Astro Silver will offer the phone. The latter features OPPO’s Fluid Ripple Texture, which creates a liquid-like illusion on the surface.

The Reno12 5G series features an alloy framework, an IP65 dust and water resistance rating, a USB-C port, and a SIM card tray. The phone will also offer a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy SoC and a fast-charging 5000mAh battery with 80W SUPERVOOC that can charge within 46 minutes.

In terms of optics, the phone has 50 megapixels, a primary camera with Sony’s LYT-600 sensor and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), a 50MP telephoto camera with Samsung’s JN5 sensor offering 2x portrait zoom and up to 20x digital zoom, and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera using the IMX 355 sensor. The front-facing camera is equipped with a 50MP JN5 sensor.

The base model has a 32-megapixel front camera, while the Pro model has a 50-megapixel selfie shooter. Oppo Reno 12 5G phones will offer Oppo's AI LinkBoost technology with 1P65-rated dust and splash resistance.
