Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event has been held on January 22, 2025 in San Jose. The event has witnessed the launch of latest Galaxy S25 series comprising three models- Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 Ultra. Samsung has launched the latest Galaxy S25 series 5G at its Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event held in San Jose. While the center stage has been taken by the Galaxy S23 Ultra and the Galaxy AI, a new member to the series- Galaxy S25 Edge has also been announced at the event, bringing a culmination to months of rumours. The teased smartphone will join the Galaxy S25 lineup, comprising Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and the Galaxy S25 Ultra. While the rumors and reports have been suggesting that the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge could debut with the Galaxy S25 Slim moniker, but it seems like Samsung wants to bring back ‘Edge' branding instead.

The new handset has been shown to sport a slim form factor and what sets it apart from other models in Samsung's new flagship lineup is the camera setup. While all three handsets in the Galaxy S25 series packs a triple rear camera setup, the new Galaxy S25 Edge will come with a dual rear camera unit comprising two lenses positioned vertically at the back.
Notably, the phone hasn't join the Galaxy S25 series launch, instead it is likely to debut in May this year. Though the company hasn't revealed any features yet, the reports suggest that the new handset could get a 6.66-inch display, which should be similar to the Galaxy S25+ model. It is also said to sport a 6.4mm thin profile without the camera module, while it may measure 8.3mm in thickness around the camera unit.
For optics, it is likely to ship with a 200-megapixel primary sensor led dual rear camera setup. Other kleaked details suggest that the phone could pack a Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset for Galaxy, paired with 12GB of RAM. Moreover, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge may run on Android 15-based One UI 7 out-of-the-box. In terms of pricing, it is rumored to be positioned between the Galaxy S25 Plus and Galaxy S25 Ultra.
