WhatsApp for iOS Gets New Features
Initially identified by the feature monitor WABetaInfo, the WhatsApp app for iOS version 24.25.93 introduces multiple new functionalities. Users can now utilize AR effects that can be implemented via the camera. This choice shows up as an image wand symbol next to the gallery symbol in the camera viewfinder on WhatsApp. Users can utilize AR effects like confetti, starry windows, tears, underwater scenes, sparkles, and karaoke.

WhatsApp introduces new backgrounds to mask the surroundings of the user and enables them to modify the video's color tone.
Another important feature added to the instant messaging platform is the capability to scan documents directly within the app. This choice is found in the document sharing window, labeled as Scan document. It comprises filters like color, grayscale, and black and white. After the image is captured, WhatsApp automatically trims it and also permits resizing of the edges. Users can also activate the auto-shutter feature that allows the app to automatically take a photo of the document when it is correctly aligned in the camera viewfinder.
