Apple M4 MacBook Pro, iMac, and Mac Mini Could Launch VERY Soon; Details Leaked
Apple is gearing up to launch a new lineup of Mac computers powered by the upcoming M4 chip. According to recent reports, the M4-based MacBook Pro, iMac, and Mac Mini are expected to be unveiled very soon. The M4 chip is rumored to be a more affordable and power-efficient alternative to the M2 and M2 Pro chips currently used in Apple's Mac lineup. Read all details.
These Macs will specifically include the latest MacBook Pro, iMac, and Mac mini models, Gurman stated in a social media post today. In keeping with his earlier reports that the upcoming Mac mini will be almost as small as an Apple TV and come equipped with two front-facing USB-C ports, he still anticipates the device to have a "revamped" design.
The upcoming MacBook Pro and iMac models are not expected to undergo any significant design changes, but according to purported leaks earlier this month, the entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro is anticipated to get an extra Thunderbolt port in comparison to the current model.
Apple's Attention to AI
The newest chipsets from Apple Silicon will be used first in the laptops. Tim Cook and his team have decided to launch the M4 in May in a new iPad Pro, so it won't be the first. However, this will be the first opportunity for macOS users with a professional focus to obtain the newest Apple Silicon.
The M4 chipset includes hardware for generative artificial intelligence. The awkwardly renamed Apple Intelligence suite of AI tools has been at the center of Cook's iPhone marketing campaigns for years, and the new Macbook Pro laptops are likely to follow suit.
Given that the first wave of AI tools to be released in November only consists of a small subset of Apple Intelligence tools, it's a risky decision. Although Apple Intelligence isn't yet ready, the MacBook Pro laptops will be equipped with it.
