Apple plans to unveil the new iPhone SE as soon as next week. The previous-generation iPhone SE was launched in 2022 and is due for a much-needed makeover. It has already been seen in photos and videos online, adding to the excitement of its launch.

According to a Bloomberg report, the iPhone SE 4 is gearing up to launch in the coming days, and Apple's upcoming smartphone could go on sale later this month. The company has released three versions of the iPhone SE since 2016, and the next generation model is expected to resemble the iPhone 14 and arrive without a home button and Touch ID. Apple no longer ships devices with a Lightning port, which means the iPhone SE 4 will come with a USB Type-C port. It is also said to offer support for Apple Intelligence features.

iPhone SE Expected Launch Timeline and Features

The iPhone SE 4 generates significant buzz, with rumours pointing to a major redesign and performance boost. Recent whispers, including those from Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, suggest a possible launch as early as next week, though this remains unconfirmed.

A key change is expected to shift to a modern design, ditching the iPhone 8-inspired look for a larger 6.1-inch OLED display and a notch, similar to the iPhone 14. This means Face ID will likely replace the iconic home button for authentication.

Under the hood, the SE 4 is rumoured to pack the powerful A18 chip, the same one expected in the iPhone 16 series. This would bring flagship-level performance to the budget-friendly SE. There's also talk of Apple's first in-house 5G modem debuting in this device.

The camera is also likely getting an upgrade. A 48MP sensor is rumoured, similar to the iPhone 14's primary camera, promising better image quality, especially in low light.

With these upgrades, a price increase is expected. Estimates suggest a starting price of around $499, which is still speculative. Even with a higher price, the SE 4 could be a strong contender in the mid-range market, offering a compelling mix of performance, features, and Apple's ecosystem. While these details are based on rumours, they paint an exciting picture of the potential iPhone SE 4. We await Apple's official announcement and confirmation.
