Google Pixel 8a Design Leaks Online; Suggest Dual Rear Camera Setup

Google will reportedly unveil the new Pixel 8a at its upcoming Google I/O event 2024 on May 14. Every year, the tech giant has a history of launching Pixel A series smartphones in May and keeping the trends going, this year too Pixel 8A is likely to make its debut. Here are all the details.
Google is all set to host its annual developer conference on May 14 wherein the company will reportedly unveil its next Pixel A series Smartphones. The phone's specifications and design have been doing rounds on the internet drawing tech enthusiasts' attention. The smartphone would debut as a successor to last year's Pixel 7a successor is surfacing on the Web. The handset's new live images have been leaked offering a glimpse into its possible design. The tipped images suggest a black colour option for the Pixel 8a whereas the front appears to sport a curved display and noticeable bezels.
In the latest development, the upcoming Pixel 8a's design and colour options have been leaked via TechDroider (@techdroider). They shared the live images of the smartphone on X (formerly Twitter). The leaked photos showcase a hole-punch display and rounded corners. The handset can be seen in a black colour which could be a rumoured Obsidian variant. Additionally, the screen can also be seen with noticeable bezels at the bottom.
It has also been leaked that the Pixel 8a can come with a matte plastic finish, unlike the Pixel 7a's glossy finish. On the rear, it could sport the same Pixel camera visor housing two sensors and a circular LED flash. There will also be a Google logo on the back panel.
Google launched the Pixel 7a last year in May 2023. The brand is expected to follow a similar launch schedule for the upcoming Pixel 8a at its annual developer conference. This year's Google I/O is slated to start on May 14, 2024.
Previously, the Pixel 8a was tipped to feature a 6.1-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It was also said to run on Google's Tensor G3 SoC alongside 8GB of RAM. It is said to be backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 27W wired fast charging. It could measure 152.1 x 72.6 x 8.9mm.
