Apple is reportedly working on to expand its iPhone SE lineup with the purported iPhone SE 4. While the iPhone 16 series is set to steal the spotlight next month, recent leaks have shed light on the potential launch timeline and key specifications of the iPhone SE 4. Here are all details

Unlike its iPhone 16 series, Apple does not adhere to a set schedule for its iPhone SE launch. The second iPhone SE was launched in April 2020 whereas the third iPhone SE debuted in March 2022. Now, after almost 2 and half, Apple has been reported working on its next generation of iPhone SE 4 and if the leaks are to be believed, the iPhone SE 4 may have a release date in the first half of next year. Additionally, the features and a few other key details have also emerged on the internet giving a sneak peek into the purported iPhone SE 4.

The most recent information is from Mark Gurman of Bloomberg. In his latest Power On newsletter on Sunday, he stated that the next iPhone SE could go on sale in the spring of 2025 . Since the three current iPhone SE models were all unveiled in March of previous years, it appears likely that the fourth generation model will follow suit and be unveiled in March of the following year.

Popular Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has also stated that the next iPhone SE is expected to launch in the first quarter of 2025, and multiple other sources too have confirmed that timeline. According to the reports, Apple suppliers would start producing the device in larger quantities starting in October.

iPhone SE 4 Expected Specifications

According to rumors, the iPhone SE 4 will have a single 48-megapixel rear camera. In contrast, the predecessor's back features a single 12-megapixel camera sensor. It is reported that the next model will have a 6.06-inch panel with a refresh rate of 60Hz. Compared to the iPhone SE (2022)'s 4.7-inch screen, this would be a significant improvement. OLED panels could be used for the screen. We're probably going to see an OLED screen on an iPhone SE model for the first time. The most recent data supports previous disclosures.

Further, the iPhone SE 4 is said to be fueled by Apple's A18 chipset with 6GB and 8GB LPDDR5 RAM options. The upcoming flagship iPhone 16 models are also anticipated to run on the same chipset. It is expected to feature an aluminium frame and support Face ID. It could support charging through a USB Type-C port. Apple packed USB connector for the first time in iPhone 15 in compliance with the EU's common charger regulation.
